A poor engineer, hadn’t time for any games.
And then one day, she got an acceptance letter from USC
And then bought a house and planned an Ikea shopping spree.
Lillberg, that is, solid birch, modern furnishings.
Well, the next thing you know, all our stuff’s in a box.
Gainesville friends said, don’t forget to cancel Cox,
Said, Columbiana Mall is the place you oughta be
So we’re load’n up the truck and movin’ close to Lake Murray.
Harbison, that is, shoppin’ malls, restaurants.
Well, now it’s almost time to say goodbye to Ames and Jas,
We would like to thank you folks for hangin’ with us in this place.
You’re all invited up to our new locality
To have a heapin’ helpin’ of our new duality
USC vs. UF, that is, Steve Spurrier, takin’ on the Gators…

Oh, come on, Ron. :) I live in Georgia (another one of those supposed backwoods, redneck places to live) and I haven't seen one banjo. I can't quite deny the front porch part since our next door neighbors use their garage as a place to hangout, with couches and the like.
Good luck to you two. Since you'll be around 250 miles away (rough guess-timate off the top of my head), we need to plan some kind of blogger meetup. Really I just want an excuse to go eat at Moe's with another couple, but blogger meetup just sounds cool. And one last thing. Even though you two are moving north of your present location, I'll be the first to say "Welcome to the South."

When we were trying to see how long it would take to get from Columbia to Ikea (There's a brand spankin' new store in Atlanta) we checked to see how much further it is to Warner Robins. Well, it's pretty much straight south. So...what do you say we have the first blogger meetup at Ikea/Moes. According to Moes.com there are like 16 locations in Atlanta. One of them has to be near Ikea. :)

Very funny. But if the stereotypes are even 1/10th true, when you arrive, your neighbors will be sitting on their front porches, pickin' on banjos, and giving you an odd stare (most can fry fish and watch the cat at the same time).
Good luck, and don't go for any walks alone in the woods!
