Using the php/MySQL experience I gained from Igmoguild as a springboard, I decided I needed to use that language/database duo throughout my personal sites. After a few sleepless nights of coding, I had my own homebrewed blog and commenting system that I called S.L.U.F.P.S. - Simple Little Utility for Posting Stuff(s). S.L.U.F.P.S. worked out great for over a year until I ported jasongraphix.com over to Movable Type for the added functionality.

Once I was grounded in the foundations of art and graphic design at UCF, I thought I'd turned away from programming completely. Through my experience with IgmoGuild, my work at Acceleration, and the time that's gone into developing my own personal projects, I understand that the ability to understand how an application is coded is essential to designing it's interface.
